October 22, 1998 I am in shock! someone called me from Senator Robb's office....the good Senator unexpectedly presented Nadia's Resolution for Senate vote...and it PASSED! We were told it would not be presented for vote until January....I wonder if the hunger strike has anything to do with this move. At any rate, I am so incredibly happy. I hope this moves Nadia's case closer to closure. I wish I could thank the Senator in person, but I have been told repeated by various individuals in our elected representatives offices that they do not meet with their constituents. This is so sad...it was never a problem for me to meet with foreign diplomats or Ministers of this or that...but then, that was Syria, and not the US.
