Did you know that Black girls are more likely to be suspended than Black boys?  The U.S. Department of Education revealed that Black girls were six times more likely to be suspended than their White peers. Kimberle Crenshaw joins us to discuss her new report “Black Girls Matter: Pushed Out, Overpoliced and Underprotected.”

All that, plus, Ilyasah Shabazz joins us to discuss the legacy of her father Malcolm X and her new novel “X.”
