A new video released by a China-based website that provides North Korean news and propaganda features NSA leaker Edward Snowden and targets South Korea’s relationship with the United States.
“Only a puppet government would welcome American activities with open arms and applaud, even when they commit murder, wage war, or plunder wiretap,” the video says (translated by North Korea News). The three-minute long video shows stills of Snowden from his interview with The Guardian, as well as images of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and Washington, D.C., landmarks beneath a Matrix-like scrolling code.
The narrator continues, “South Koreans frequently rage over our ‘cutting-edge security threat’ whenever it gets the chance. A country like this only exists in somewhere like South Korea, where the country doesn’t know how to be angry or lose its temper in front of its master, America.”
The video serves as a follow up to North Korea’s response to the leaked PRISM program, while focuisng its criticism on South Korea for supporting the U.S. surveillance program.
