A GOP congressman today finally made the Syria-Benghazi connection you had to know was coming: Why trust Obama on one, when he won’t come clean on the other?
While most Republicans are content with the normal Benghazi talking points, Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Kansas, may be the first to invoke the Benghazi corollary to Godwin’s Law —that any GOP discussion inevitably leads to Benghazi—in regard to Syria. This is what he tweeted to followers:

The message is actually more a slam of Speaker John Boehner and the GOP leadership: “Why do GOP leaders trust Obama to be truthful about Syria?” the tweet asks. And so it’s likely no coincidence that it came about an hour after Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Virginia, this morning endorsed the president’s Syria policy.
None of this is surprising, as Huelskamp and Boehner have a long track record of enmity. Last year, Boehner purged Huelskamp from his committee assignment for bucking leadership too often. In return, Huelskamp helped lead an unsuccessful putsch against the Speaker.
It’s difficult to say whether any other Republicans are ready to pick up the “Benghazi” line on Syria. Then again, for the 8% of Americans who believe Benghazi is located in Syria — this link probably comes as no surprise at all.
