One hundred days after dual bombs exploded near the finish line at the Boston Marathon, Marc Fucarile reached a milestone in his recovery. As the last person injured who was still hospitalized, Fucarile finally headed home.

Fucarile was watching another friend complete the April 15th marathon when the second bomb exploded, burning him and impaling him with shrapnel. He lost his right leg. Two friends with whom he was watching the race also lost legs in the explosion.

More than 260 people were wounded in the bombings, and three were killed.
