At 7pm ET today, the state of Georgia will execute Troy Davis. Davis was convicted of killing an off-duty police officer in 1989, but since then, seven of nine witnesses have recanted their stories. Former President Jimmy Carter, former FBI Director William Sessions and msnbc's Al Sharpton have led the charge to spare Davis' life, but the Georgia Pardons Board decided yesterday not to give him clemency. read more
