Mark Sanford won a House race in South Carolina, and Anthony Weiner is at or near the top of the polls for New York mayor.  So former New York governor Eliot Spitzer figures 'Why not?' Spitzer announced his political comeback attempt: he's running for New York city comptroller. Spitzer will play Hardball with guest host Michael Smerconish on tonight's show.
