It seems like the National Rifle Association has its crosshairs on just about everyone.

The powerful gun lobby has posted what amounts to an enemies list on its website, and the neverending lineup includes scores upon scores of individual and groups that the NRA sees as hostile to gun rights. The list has more than 500 names, including women’s groups, law enforcement organizations, former presidents and A–list celebs.

Here’s a brief look at the types of groups the NRA feels it must keep its eyes on.

Women:

Gun rights activists spent last week arguing on Capitol Hill guns make women safer. Despite a focus on issues having little to do with guns, women’s groups are among the NRA’s enemies. That includes the Federation of Women’s Clubs, League of Women Voters of the United States, National Organization for Women, National Council of Negro Women, Women’s National Democratic Club.

The medical community:

If you’re in a major medical community, chances are you made the list. The American Medical Association, American Nurses Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Association for Surgery of Trauma, Congress of Neurological Surgeons are included.

Law enforcement:

And don’t forget about those who are trying to stop violence from happening in the first place. The  National Association of Police Organizations and the Police Foundation made the list.

Sports teams:

Even sports teams are included, including the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Rams. In 2003, the state passed a law that allows individuals to apply for a permit to carry a concealed weapon. As Yahoo sports notes, “The Royals, Chiefs and Rams –quite understandably–didn’t want to encourage fans to pack heat at ballgames.”

Teaching Organizations

Educators aren’t exactly indoctrinating students with some sort of anti-gun agenda, yet they too made the list. That includes the American Federation of Teachers, American Association of School Administrators, the National Education Association, the National Association of School Psychologists, the National Association of Elementary School Principals.

Religious organizations:

There’s no exception for a number of religious organizations either. The Unitarian Universalist Association, American Jewish Committee, Episcopal Church (Washington Office), Untied States Catholic Conference, B'nai B’rith, Southern Leadership Conference, Congress of National Black Churches, American Jewish Committee, Central Conference of American Rabbis, United States Catholic Conference, United Church of Christ office for Church in Society all made the list.

Celebs: There’s a somewhat-bizarre list of current and former A-listers too. Boyz II Men, Geraldo Rivera, Barry Manilow, Sting, Jerry Seinfeld, Richard Dreyfuss, Dick Van Dyke
