Immigration reform passed the Senate by a vote of 68 to 32. That’s more than two-thirds of the Senate voting for the most comprehensive immigration reform package in a generation.
Still, Republican leaders in the House aren’t impressed: They say they’ll work on their own, narrower bill that doesn’t provide a path to citizenship for the 11 million immigrants in the country illegally.

A state lawmaker in Pennsylvania was censured for speaking out about gay rights on the state’s House floor. Republicans said that State Rep. Brian Sims – who’s openly gay – was in “rebellion against God’s law.”
