After Vice President Joe Biden met with the NRA, big gun seller Walmart and members of the entertainment industry, the Obama administration has a difficult path ahead as it moves towards tighter gun controls.

This morning on the Today show, NRA president David Keene predicted an assault weapons ban would fail. And the question is worth repeating: Whose side is the NRA really on? The side that wants all kinds of weaponry in the hands of anyone who wants it? As the Huffington Post notes in a striking article today, the NRA claims to represent the lawful gun owner in America, but that’s not the case. The NRA actually represents the $12 billion gun industry and benefits when gunmakers sell as many weapons as possible.
