Here's what's on the docket today:

What's next for the Budget talks now that House Republican leader Eric Cantor basically took his ball and went home? And how will voters perceive Cantor's refusal to even consider all options, even the ones he doesn't like -- like taxes? Taxes in this country are lower than they've been since the 1950s -- what happened in this country that we can no longer have a grown-up conversation about taxes?

President Obama's speech during a "Gala with the Gay Community" fundraiser last night in Manhattan wasn't exactly a big hit. Politico called it "awkward", it was interrupted by hecklers, and the president ducked the big issue in the Big Apple -- whether to allow same-sex marriage. How much patience will the gay community have with the president as he continues to stop short of calling for full-on marriage equality?

Nate Silver handicaps the Republican field on his fivethirtyeight blog -- and puts Pawlenty, Perry and Bachmann in the first tier behind frontrunner Romney.

And Politico reports that Romney is dominating the cash dash -- and all the other candidates are eating his dust.

But will the Tea Party be swayed by Mitt's Money Machine? As Politico reports, they don't really like him and they don't really trust him.
