Tea partier Matt Bevin will be the Republican nominee for governor in Kentucky this year, an improbable one-year turnaround for the insurgent candidate after his quixotic bid to unseat Majority Leader Mitch McConnell flamed out over his involvement in a pro-cockfighting rally.
