Sunday Primetime Political Doc Block

Updated

Primetime Sunday April 24th MSNBC airs a lineup of original political documentaries which dive beyond the headlines into the stories that are capturing the nation’s attention.

The evening starts at 8:00pm ET with Citizen Trump with Chris Matthews.  During this election season, Donald Trump has grabbed people’s attention, but what has led to this unprecedented moment?  This MSNBC documentary takes a look back at Donald Trump’s career and path to politics, chronicling the events that have led to his Presidential run.

Immediately afterward, don’t miss Hillary Clinton: It Takes a Country at 9:00pm ET. Hillary Rodham Clinton is already one of the world’s most accomplished and complex women. In this hour, we learn what inspired Secretary Clinton’s commitment to public service and her historic political course as she embarks on her second presidential run. Hillary Clinton: It Takes a Country is the story of how she helped her husband make history and how she is making her own place in the history books, from First Lady to U.S. Senator from New York, to Secretary of State, and if the voters agree, first woman elected President of the United States.

At 10:00pm ET You Vote, They Decide: The Secret Campaigns for President, hosted by Jacob Soboroff, looks at the storied history of the political parties’ National Conventions and the prospect of an upcoming contested convention this year.

“You Vote, They Decide: The Secret Campaigns for President”

An inside look at how political conventions really work and how outcomes can be influenced. Watch Sunday at 10pm ET on MSNBC.
The hour introduces viewers to people who will serve as delegates at this year’s RNC and observes the delegate selection process at one of Colorado’s Congressional District Conventions. Hear from those who were on the floor at past conventions, those who witnessed violence outside the 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago and horse-trading at the 1976 Republican convention in Cleveland. You Vote, They Decide underscores that it may be us, the American people who vote, but it’s the delegates — many of whom will be unbound to any candidate going into the convention —who will decide the next president.

The political doc block begins at 8pm ET, April 24th on MSNBC.
