Expect another tough round of questioning for an Obama Administration nominee Thursday afternoon when John Brennan gives answers to the Senate Intelligence Committee. Brennan will discuss the ongoing drone program and may answer questions regarding enhanced interrogation techniques.

In Thursday’s opinion pages: Professor Mary Ellen O’Connell previews Brennan’s confirmation hearing, with the emphasis surrounding targeted killings.

In other cabinet confirmation news: The next step in the process for former Senator Chuck Hagel has been delayed by the Senate Armed Services Committee. Republicans on the committee want Hagel to disclose financial records, specifically payments tied to speeches after his senate career ended.
