Three weeks to go on the campaign trail and surrogates are out in full force: Mitt Romney is in Iowa campaigning for Senate candidate Joni Ernst as new polls show that race tightening, while Michelle Obama stumbled a bit last week campaigning for Ernst’s Democratic opponent, Congressman Bruce Braley. And Vice President Joe Biden is in Florida for Charlie Crist in his race against Republican incumbent Gov. Rick Scott.
A ‘ONE-POINT CONTEST’: ”Iowa’s blitzkrieg U.S. Senate race is now a 1-point contest: Republican Joni Ernst is at 47 percent, and Democrat Bruce Braley is right at her heels at 46 percent with likely voters, a new Iowa Poll shows.” (MORE: The Des Moines Register)

Then she said he was a Marine Corps veteran. (He’s not.)” (MORE: Washington Post)
A ‘SIZABLE LEAD’: “Democrat Charlie Crist holds a sizable 53-29 percent lead over Gov. Rick Scott among Hispanic voters, according to a new poll that indicates this fastest growing segment of the electorate doesn’t like Republican positions on immigration, Medicaid and the minimum wage.” (MORE: The Miami Herald)
