The All In with Chris Hayes team puts out a daily call to the Twitter and Facebook communities for the “awesomest things” they encountered on the Internet.
1. Commander Chris Hadfield of the International Space Station releases videos informing Earthlings of the newest Space goings-on. Twitter fan Kathleen Elder alerted us to his latest: What happens when you’re in space and you dip a wash cloth in water, and then try to wring it out? Watch to find out.
2. The New York Times interviewed over a dozen people who were near the finish line when the bombs went off at the Boston Marathon and turned the interviews into an interactive feature: an incredibly compelling and graceful way to articulate such a jarring historical moment.
3. Over the weekend, the Boston Red Sox held their first home game since the Marathon Bombings. Before the game, Red Sox hitter, David Ortiz said this: “This is our f***ing city. And nobody’s going to dictate our freedom. Stay strong.” We’re tipping our hats to the FCC for letting one particular expletive slide.
